DS almost 3, potty training gone well thsi week, glad we left it till now as he gets in a flap about things and needs lots of "don't worry". Now day 4 and after a few days of poo in the pants, seems now to understand.....or it may be more the reward after! Anyway the main issue is that he goes into poo stance and I say NO No come with mummy and with a bit of a wobbly chin we get to the potty. Wee is fine, not really any accidents. This is all working really well and 4 days in I am so proud of him.

BUT!
Nursery on Tuesday. This will be the first time in pants. He struggles at nursery, crys when left, lots of change there at the moment as building work etc etc. I don't want to take him in pull ups as it will confuse him but I know he will poo in his pants as they won't be able to watch for the poo stance! He will be very upset if he poos in his pants and I'm worried this will cause an issue. WWYD?? He doesn't need to be there this week, but does next week. I don't really like him missing sessions as he only goes once a week though.

Secondly - long car journey this weekend, will fall asleep. To pull up or not to pull up, that is my final question!

Thanks all

I don't really know what to suggest about nursery as ds was only at playgroup at the time and was not worried by accidents so I just sent him in pants.

On long car journeys I used to put an open nappy on the car seat and sit him on it so at least it protected the seat. I did have one of those car seat mats but in didn't save the seat from a full wee!
