hi there, my DS is 2.5 and we are currently trying to potty train, we have carpets in most of our rooms and although we are having some success, we seem to be having quite a few accidents too, please can anyone let me know what they use to clean up Number 1'S and Number 2's?! (off the carpet and sofa) many thanks :)

I used to use 1001 carpet cleaner, it comes in a squirty/spray bottle. You could also use a product made for pet accidents, which contains enzymes that digest the organic matter and also get rid of the smell. It's called simple solution stain and odour remover, and can be found at Pets at Home. Works well on vomit too. Basically, scrape up as much as you can of solids and blot up liquids before treating.

You can protect the sofa/ chairs with a throw or fleece blanket, under which you place Pampers bed mats. Or buy a cheap plastic shower curtain and put it on the sofa seat with an old towel and the fleece on top for the more environmentally friendly choice. Easier to clean than your upholstery, and the fleece hides the absorbent bit when you have visitors. Just change them when wet.
