Wetting hereself on purpose?

DD 3.5 has been potty training for approx 6 weeks, at about 2 weeks she started to get it and was going to the potty herself.
She has suddenly started wetting herself, I think, on purpose. If I ask if she needs she says no, and then I'll put her on the potty and she has wet her pants Confused Pre school said to keep her in pants, but I don't know how much more I can take. (she was dry for the 2.5 hours at nursery though???? Hmm)

If you are sure she doesn't have an infection you could try a star chart with a prize of a very desirable gift. I had a three year old widdler - she had so many nice clothes she wanted to wear!

She isn't doing it on purpose, 6 weeks is still a short time in potty training. She is learning and may have accidents for some time to come. She will get there though, keep with the pants.

Ok, so now she has horrendous nappy rash as she has been pooing and wetting all day. I have been putting her on the potty every 15 mins and she has already wet herself!?. She is screaming everytime "I don't need a wee wee!" Not sure if I can take much more, 20 pairs of pants! and a 15 month old still in nappies and teething Sad

Was she going to the potty herself up until this started or were you reminding her a lot? I wonder if she has what my MIL would call an infection in her waterworks, or some sort of constipation thing (which can look like constant poo). Maybe try no daytime pants over the weekend to air the rash, and see how it goes? Good bless you, you have a threenager!

Yes she was going to the potty herself, sometimes just a little wee in pants, but lots in potty. Pooing only in nighttime nappy, on meds for that but that's another issue (on another thread) I have started reminding her, since the accidents got more frequent.
She started pre school this week, they want me to keep her in pants. I am going to air bum over the weekend. But why is she saying she doesn't need??
Have promised her dress up dress she was after if she stayed dry, but hasn't really helped.
Dh working away, I'm on the wine now Grin

Good for you! Do you think maybe there is some 'confusion' of signals 'down there' (I sound like my MIL, not good). With the poo issue or anything? Maybe a 'wee test' would settle that issue? Maybe the preschool is 'stressing' her? Maybe she is missing her dad? My dh has been away all month, but my kids are teenagers, so at least I don't have toilet problems with them Grin.
