Bed wetting

This is not really a potty training issue, so apologies if posting in the wrong place.

Anyway I have an 8 year old DS who has just started bed wetting again after being dry for last 12 months.

We are going away on hols and don't want him ruining the bed whilst we're away. What can I put on him? He used to wear those pyjama pants age 4-7 but there's no way those will fit him now. He's a very big 8 YO. Any advice? Could I get some kind of large nappies from chemist?

Is there something that you could cover the mattress with instead of putting nappies on him? Just wondering as I can just imagine what my 6 year old would say at the mention of him wearing nappies.

Yes, he has a plastic cover on his own bed which we will take with us, but when he wets it's like at lake so was concerned over ruining their bed linen

The Huggies dry nights absorbant sheets are quite good.
