DAY 2 - Not sure at all.....

You'd think I'd know how to do this....(have dd age 4)
DS is 3 at the end of September and we started potty training yesterday. Think he managed one wee and a poo in the potty yesterday and about 7 or so wees on the floor.

Problem is he doesn't like anything in the potty! There may have been more wees in it, not sure, as he likes to empty it on the floor as soon as hes done something!

Nothing this morning - on the floor or in the potty..
And we need to go out today visiting sis in law in hospital, so what do I do there? I wouldn't have started yesterday if I'd known we would be going out but I have and I will continue.

He will sit on the potty but uses it as a seat?
Basically, what do I do?

I'm no expert as we're only on Day 2 ourselves so just a couple of thoughts!
We've got Pirate Pete's Potty book (from mothercare) for boys which is currently very popular in our house and is a really good explanation of what the potty is for.
Or, how about going straight to a trainer seat on the toilet instead? Or doing stand-up wees using a step stool? Our son has tried a few of these today and is very excited to be weeing like his Daddy! I'm told its possible to buy wee-wee balls (sorry, don't know where from) which float in the toilet bowl that boys can use as target practice if their aim needs improvement.

We're on Day 3 here with an almost 2 year old...I've come on here because I'm basically trying to decide whether to keep going or not. it was 7-7 to the floor/potty today. Similar yesterday. We went out a couple of times and he was fine for 1.5 hours and then we came home and he weed every 20 minutes!
