DS has just turned three and has been toilet trained for about six months now. for the last three weeks he has inexplicably started to do really small poos/stains in his pants. he seems to have a bit of trouble going to the loo- there is often a long build up involving lots of frowning and dancing around looking uncomfortable and preoccupied, and insisting he doesn't need the loo, when he obviously does. then sometime later - with him still insisting he doesn't need - he does a small amount in his pants. if i insist on taking him to the loo to try to avoid this happening he will willingly sit there but nothing will come. I am getting a bit worried and frustrated and am pretty fed up of cleaning poo off pants. What is going on here? I don't know whether to get angry at him (i think not) as I sense he doesn't meant it to happen and has somehow lost some control. Where do i go from here?
It all started when we were on holiday and he was out of his normal routine but that was two weeks ago [sad. I'd appreciate any shared experiences/advice on how to react.
