What age did your DC's start potty training?

My DS is 33 months old and still not interested- I posted another post about this but i am just curious to know what age your DC's started and how long it all took?

DS1 : 21 months - 3 days
DS2 : 25 months - 3 days
DD: 19 months - 1 day

Wow those times are quick Padmehum! What prep did you do beforehand? Any words of wisdom?

DD - 36months, 1 day
DS - 39 months, 1 day
both straight on the toilet with child's seat - no potty involved

they are either ready, or they aren't.
we didn't make too big deal about it, no stickers/treats etc.

we did have a talk with DD and she decided she would start wearing big girl pants on her birthday - and that was that.

DS was similar - there were a few accidents, but we managed a long haul plane journey a month later without using nappies...

ILYS - we just waited until they asked to stop wearing nappies.

24 months took a week
20 months took a day

They are all different. Wisest advice I ever was given was "very few children start school in nappies"

depends what you mean by potty training.

dd1 was interested in a potty from around 18 months. Didn't decide to try to make the switch from nappy to potty until she was nearly 2. Happened in a day.

dd2 showed little interest. Couple of nudges didn't work. Out of nappies at 2.7. Took 2 days maybe.

DD1 2yrs 5 months. 4 days from starting until she was using the toilet independently.

DD2 2 years exactly, 3 days, straight on the toilet (it would have been later as I was sure she wasn't ready, but she was pretty adament!)

Should have said i read the (whispers) Gina Ford book before starting DD1. And probably followed similar principals with DD2 although it was much more led by her that time

Both DD's were 33 months and it took 3 or 4 days. DD1 used the toilet with a kids seat and DD2 just used the toilet. Neither would use the potty.
