Hi,I am thinking abour whether to start potty training my 2.8 yr old DS but there are a few things which are putting me off:

  1. there have been lots of changes in his life recently - new sibling (she's 3 months), move to big bed, starting preschool in sep after 24/7 care from me.
  2. He has only just started to tell me when he's done a poo - never tells me he needs a poo or wee. 3)I'm BF DD and, while she doesn't take long, can see this being an issue if he suddenly needs to go.
  3. He can't really take his own trousers and pants down.

But I am keen to get him dry as it will be easier, and cheaper, in the long run to only have own nappy wearer.

So do I go for it in the summer hols or not?

I'd go for it, weather is good for it. Try for a week and then see if you think it's worth persevering.

Practically I don't think theres a better time than the summer hols - but if he's not ready then leave it
