Actually it's not IBS...technically.
I've been saying for months (since last Oct) that he seems to have bouts of IBS-like activity (I have IBS myself so know the symptoms quite well). Was told by EVERY dr that children don't get IBS.
So we started a round of blood tests, urine samples, fecal samples, exclusion diets blah blah blah. Went back to hosp in June to get results....
There's 'nothing wrong with him'. Apparently it's toddler diarrhea or pea and carrot soup diarrhea and it's like IBS for kids...
Me: so he's got IBS for kids.
Dr: no children don't get IBS. It's IBS...
Anyhow, the point is (if you're still with me...) how do I cope with anywhere between 2-15 dirty pairs of pants everyday? And sometimes he poos in bed so in the morning it's stuck to his bum like concrete.
He's been fine with wees since Feb so doesn't want to wear nappies any more hence the dirty pants.
Dr said don't get cross with him like he was teaching his granny to suck eggs. But sometimes it's soo hard and I do get a mite cross . Mainly I manage to be calm and tell him it's not good but deal with it positively.
Any help / ideas would be great. It's really getting me down now
