Getting back into fitness after a baby

Any advice on getting back into fitness after having a baby?

for context, I am 9 months pp and have always been quite an active person. Throughout pregnancy and before I weight trained and worked out at the gym at least twice a week minimum. I walk every day, anything from 2-5km daily. Since having a baby my body has obviously changed A LOT.

i wake up with severe aches and pains in my joints. My lower back, knees and hips. My gut sticks out and looks as though I’m still pregnant (which I know is entirely normal after pushing a human out). I think I probably have diastais recti which is then adding strain to my lower back constantly. I feel like a 30yr old in an 80yr old body sometimes.

I don’t have any motivation to lift weights anymore. I have some dumbells at home which I thought would help me find time to workout around my baby. But I rarely ever use them. I stopped breastfeeding last month which has helped from a hormonal perspective. We have a working cocker spaniel so I still walk daily.

Not sure how to find love for fitness again, I don’t have unrealistic expectations of myself to be a model physique, I never have been! but I just want to feel stronger and able to stand up without my back breaking 😖 any advice??? P

Pilates is a good gentle way to rebuild strength, partcularly in the core to help with the aches and pains which can then lead to other options such as using weights and increased impact.
