My private pelvic floor physio has recommended I get a pessary fitted to support my pelvic floor during its recovery/retraining and that I don't run until it is fitted. It sounds a bit drastic to me as I don't have a prolapse. I have sought the second opinion of an NHS pelvic physio/gynae specialist but the wait to see someone is 6 months. I don't want to wait that long to start running again! The private physio can fit it for me for £350.......I'm 13 months post partum so feel like I'm largely out of the woods post natal injury wise.
Does anyone have any experience of these pessaries and when they've been fitted?
