What's the possibility of a second baby?

Me and my partner tried for a baby for over 3 years with multiple miscarriages, finally got our rainbow baby but the birth was quite traumatic. I was sent into an emergency C-section because baby was back to back with me, got stuck and they kept losing her heart rate.

I was told afterwards that my womb wall and upper vaginal path ripped during the delivery. Due to this I might not be able to carry another child, it depends on whether or not my cervix can handle the pressure and a vaginal delivery is for sure out of the question. I was also told that I absolutely cannot get pregnant again before they've done some tests and to contact them when and if I want to try for another baby.

What tests would it be? Who do I contact, and does anyone have a similar story? If so, were you able to have another baby or are the chances very slim?

I’m sorry that you’ve been through all of this. If you are thinking of having another baby I think I would try and see a female GP and ask for their advice Flowers

Thank you for replying! I've always wanted two kids and was devastated when they told me I might not be able to. I think you're right though, I'll start by contacting the GP and see where to go from there
