Hair regrowth

Hi there i really need to know if this is haor regrowth or just standard regrowth im going out of my mind after shedding so much hair in hoping the shedding is stopping and this regrowth will stay? Im worried. Any thoughts much appreciated..if it is regrowth will.it all turn into thicker hair soon?

Sorry, I can't answer. My hair got thinner after pregnancy...it usually grows back but might not be quite the same. Massaging in rosemary oil is possibly helpful? And try not to stress out about it too much as that won't help! All the best

Normally your hair follicles are in one of three stages, growing, falling and resting.
During pregnancy, a much higher percentage of follicles go into the growing stage. So postpartum there's a corresponding higher falling phase.
The falling usually peaks around four months post pregnancy.
This will settle back down to a normal cycle, ,but can take several months.
Be gentle with your hair, avoid over vigorous brushing and tight pony tails. (Traction alopecia is a thing!)

For the photo, it's hard to say, but if you're at the four month mark, hopefully you'll keep this growth.

Remember also, that you are much more aware of the shedding than any outside observer.

It will be fine love, it just takes time.

Omg my regrowth is insane. Looks similar to yours but mines longer. It’s so frustrating isn’t it! Solidarity because it looks like it’s going to take ages to be the same length as the rest of my hair!

Thanks so you think mine is definitely regrowth? I wondered if it was just me imagining it or just standard hair cycle...it does look like lots more than normal coming though..doesn't it? Doubting myself here :-(

Yeah sorry op. I had bad postnatal hairloss both times. My DC2 turns 2 this week and my hair still looks like an absolute bag of shit.

Yes for sure it’s regrowth! Doesn’t look like breakage at all, the shedding comes from the root!
