Third degree tear scar pain (TW)

Hi, I’m 18 months pp. I had a forceps delivery episiotomy and third degree tear.
Just wondering does anyone else’s scar look like mine? It’s so thick and ugly 😢
Also the scar tissue inside my vagina hurts so bad still if I attempt sex. Or if I massage the skin it just seems to rip and split open. If you’ve had this issue did it get better or did you need surgery?

the gynaecologist I saw said if I have surgery it will just create more scar tissue but I’m so torn (excuse the pun) if I should leave it and put up with it or go ahead with surgery 🥺

Oh bless you.
Yes, similar, with all the extras you mention. I did have surgery, and again after my second child as it wasn’t fixed.
still have scarring now, but nothing like it was.

@Fuzziduck Did you have surgery before your second child or afterwards?

do you think the scar looks bad x

Before the second, but it wasn’t sorted. Fell pregnant again, and had another surgery after the second.

No, it doesn’t look that bad, and the redness will die now. You could also try a scar cream to expedite the redness reduction x
