Strange drug reaction

Hi guys! I have just been wondering about if anybody else has experienced this thing I did during childbirth. Before I got induced and put on the hormonal drug, the nurse said she will do a saline flush first. The second she injected me with the saline I had very strange feeling. My lips went very hot and I started to feel like I was going to fade out. I quickly went back to normal and told the nurse I just had a very strange feeling. The nurse completely dismissed it at the time. So I don’t know if it was a reaction, side effect or just me 🤔 did anyone ever experience this with this drug or something similar? Thanks

Saline is just water and salt, so really shouldn’t have caused a reaction, although you may have just felt a bit weird at the sensation of the coolness hitting your veins.

@YouFreakingFreaks hi yeah thanks for the reply, I’m aware of what saline is, I did Google sodium chloride and apparently it’s possible to have a reaction because it does contain other substances too. I always thought tingling/burning lips is a classic sign of a reaction. I think I might consult this with a dr see what they say
