Signs your post partum period is returning

i am 15months post partum, exclusively breastfeed, but just night weaned. I had a cold 2 weeks ago and have been very fatigued and easily exhausted for last week. Then 2 days ago, I had some watery discharge, and yesterday a few light cramps. Also have been feeling very overly anxious over this fatigue last few days! Only just pieced together that my period may be on way ? Does this align to anyone else’s experience? I’ve never really had PMS before but have heard it can be horrendously worse post partum. Thank you everyone

I had a couple of "ghost" periods before my AF came back both times so you might be experiencing something similar.

There's a bit more on BFing and returning to fertility here.

What are ghost periods? 🤔

Mine came floodlike with no warning at all after my first (about 14 months postpartum IIRC).

I'm 9 months pp after my second and nothing yet. But I'm expecting no warning again. Just rolling the dice every time I choose a white dress lol

And yes it was horrendous, I think my first period was 16 days. Like it was making up for lost time. I had three long ones that were around 2 weeks long, before they settled to a normal length.

If you've got a holiday booked with a pool, then your period will probably start in the first few days of that😬(bitter experience)
