Third degree tear and perineum pain

Hi everyone.

Im nearly a year pp. I had a forceps delivery, episiotomy but also ended up with an additional 3b tear. Does anyone else have pain if you try and do perineal massage? me and my husband haven’t been romantic yet either. But when I push down doing the massage it stings so bad and I feel like I’m going to tear again 😭

will I need a fentons procedure or something similar?

I can't speak from experience but didn't want to read and run. I would contact you GP about this as this doesn't sound normal. Did you get a gyne referral or physio after your birth? Did you have any sort of after care?

hey I saw a gynaecologist at around 6 months but I hadn’t touched myself down there so to speak so I didn’t know it was an issue but they never said anything.

My physiotherapist has been pretty useless tbh
