I am 17weeks pregnant and midwife called to say bloods come back and very low iron so have to take tablet 3 times a week has this happend to any1 else before?

Hi,Yes it happened to me when I was pregnant with my second baby. Low iron and I was put on tablets like you.They made my heartburn worse.

Anaemia is very normal, most prenatal vitamins will contain a good dose of iron along with folic acid etc. It's nothing to worry about as long as you take the tablets.

F I remember rightly taking them with orange juice helps them to absorb.
