Periods became regular after birth

Hello mums,

Just interested in others people's experiences. I had irregular periods since they started (since I was 13yo). I had periods every 'month' but it could be anything between 25 and 45 days and they were all over the place all the time (eg. 27-43-28-33-35-29-37 days month to month etc).

I have been tracking my periods for 15 yrs now and when I was in my late 20s they were 33 days long on average.
By the time my first child was born (age 36), my average period was 30 days but was still anything between 25-45 days. That was 'normal' for me.

(I didn't have fertility problems when conceiving and was never diagnosed with anything - pcos or similar for example.)

After my second child was born (age 38), my periods became unbelievably regular (for me) 26-28 days all the time for 2 years now. Average period length is 28 days.

Have anybody experienced their period being more regular after giving birth? (All the articles are about them getting more irregular afterwards.) And/or is it perimenopause? I'm not worried (maybe a little), just curious.

Thanks for reading and sharing your experiences.

Not quite the same, but my periods became regular after J did the keto diet for 6 months. I'd NEVER had regular periods before then and they were always within 2-3 days of the time I expected, whereas it could be anything from 3-6 weeks prior to that.

After the birth of my daughter they were like clockwork and became even more predictable, always being on the day or max 1 day out. My guess was a reset in hormones from such a drastic diet change did it, and I guess pregnancy does a similar thing?
