Overactive abs issue causing lower tummy to stick out

Has anyone got this issue? I’ve got a physio appt in a few weeks as this is really getting me down. No matter how many exercises I do for my core (diastesis recti safe exercises), my tummy still sticks out. Apparently it’s because my upper abs are so tense and overactive:

Try Pilates. “Overactive abs” is nonsense. But Pilates with a good instructor will get your abdominal wall and pelvic floor working well together again.
