No uterine contractions after c section birth

Hello,

I had a c section 10 days ago and I realised yesterday I hadn't felt any contractions that would indicate my uterus was shrinking?

My stomach has gone down a lot though so I'm wondering if I'm either not feeling them or whether it's normal to not have them?

Honestly, I didn’t have them either. As long as you are going to the bathroom and passing urine and faeces properly and if you are BF and feeling everything you need to and feeding baby well, I wouldn’t worry about it. Do your kegels from now until kingdom come (you will never regret it - trust me.) If you want, ask for a referral to a women’s physiotherapist. It is never too early or a bad idea. I am at the other end of my reproductive lifetime and I am gobsmacked at the number of very close friends of mine who have been suffering in silence from birthing injuries. You shouldn’t do this. If you are worried at all - ever - get straight onto it, please.
