Baby swallowed henna

Hello mumsnetters.

Yesterday, I put some henna on my friends hand when she came over. My baby is 3 month old and has started to chew his hands all the time.

He was awake at this time and I had to give him to my friend to hold when I went toilet. When I came back I saw some henna accidentally went on his hands on sleepsuit. And guess what he done. He chewed his hands part!

The henna was like less than size of a pea but I have been feeling so broken because of this. I've been worried sick that he has eaten that bearing in mind henna from the market is full of toxic chemicals etc. Will he be okay?

Also, recently, he has refused bottle for 3 weeks and just been having breast milk literally cluster feeding and has been waking up cos of hunger so many times during night. My husband managed to feed him from the mam bottle I purchased yesterday night and he slept straight 7 hours. Then I fed him changed nappy and he slept again. Then woke up for a bit and we played and he has been sleeping from 11 till now 2pm still sleeping. I'm so worried what of this is because he ate the henna. Or is this because he is tired still or not hungry?

I have post natal depression so this is making me feel even more worse and terrible. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance

Was this yesterday? I would have probably spoken to 111 then, give them a ring for peace of mind....

Thank you so much for your response. I followed what you said although I was thinking to do it myself but was worried if they thought I'm not looking after my child. But I couldn't take the worrying and called and they were lovely x

Glad things were ok with the Henna.

How's the BFing going now? Are you getting any RL support?

It's going better thank goodness because now he takes the Mam bottle, that's the only one he takes!
