Hi All,

Does anyone know what a grade 1 cystocele looks like? All the pictures online are way more severe. Does it look like a walnut?

I have a moderate cystocele, at the vaginal opening I see most of the opening filled with the vaginal wall, a walnut is a good way to describe it. I sometimes describe it as looking like a brain. I can slightly see / feel a smooth squashy structure which is the bladder which has fallen in with the collapsed wall.
My advice. Do your pelvic floors, ask for referral for physio and get on the gynae waiting list. Both can be up to 2 years wait in places.
If I was to go through this again I'd sign up to Benenden health, you'll be seen within 6 months even with pre-existing condition.

I think my one I described is grade 2.

I have a grade 1 rectocele too (lucky me!) and can't see that at all.

@Flowersforbees
