Hey there…

I woke this am with little to no pinkish/brownish lochia at all and it stayed very minimal throughout the day. This evening, I sat on the toilet to change my pad before bed and stood up to see a large amount of what looks like chunky blood - see image. Is this something to be concerned about? Or is this normal? First time mama, I’m really not sure what’s normal and what isn’t! Thanks in advance!

How far post partum are you? It can start and stop a bit, did in my experience, but it depends on how long it's been since you had baby whether it should be happening or not. If you're filling a pad in an hour you need to head straight to a and e.

How are you now? I’m experiencing this today. 10 days postpartum

Please get yourself checked

It can increase if you overdo it. Have you?
