4 1/2 weeks - c section scar is hurting quite badly again.

Has anyone had this? I actually think I've overdone it lifting my 2 year old too much but thought I can after 4 weeks, it's a stinging pain and I can't even touch it with my finer tips. It's not the scar itself but the tissue underneath. The scar itself has healed fine.

P.s. baby was stillborn so keeping busy and doing things with my living children is what keeps me going.

I'm so sorry to hear about your stillbirth, that must be incredibly difficult.

I did find my c section scar would get painful if I overdid things, probably until about 3/4 months. I'm +5 months now and don't feel any pain in it.

Thinking of you OP x

So so sorry to hear this 💔
Ideally you need to not lift anything heavy for 6 weeks and really 3 months (info leaflet I got after my section) but I know that's almost impossible with an older child.
Sending love x

I really don't have advice, but it can take a few months for the tissue inside to heal. The uterus needs to heal, the muscles and tissues. They say you shouldn't lift anything heavy for 6 weeks but then, the people that say that usually don't take the fact that there can be other small children into consideration. Try to not overdo it and if it gets too painful, get it looked at to make sure there is no inside tear or hernia.

I am so very sorry for your loss. 💔
