What's this rash on my 5 week olds face?

It keeps coming and goes throughout the day etc it's weird!! She's 5 weeks old today any advice ? Calling dr tomorrow

DS's was similar to that as a young baby and it was eczema, it went off his face by the time he was about one and then appeared as dry itchy patches behind his knees, it all disappeared though before he started school. Is she scratching it, is it itchy, we put socks on DS's hands to stop scratching as the little mitts weren't much good. Definitely go to the doctor though in case it's a food allergy and to get some cream if needed

If that's eczema then you need to be really careful not to let any food touch his skin, wash your hands VERY well after eating. Don't let anyone touch him without washing their hands.

Food allergies can be caused by allergens getting through the skin barrier and then the body sends out antibodies to attack them. The body remembers this response and does it every time it encounters the substance.

If baby is already reacting to something in your milk it's likely dairy or gluten or eggs.

Was the baby exposed to antibiotics at birth or during pregnancy?

Looks like baby acne to me - all 3 of mine has its harmless ane hormonal and will clear eventually on its own

Two of mine also had eczema - but not just on their face and my non-eczema/allergy baby had acne just like this
