Losing baby weight

Hi,
I’m 11 months PP after emergency section. Still really hate my mummy body! Anyone really struggled to lose baby weight? I still have this tummy overhang and a lot of my pre pregnancy clothes are still too small. I look at other mums with babies and wonder how they lose it so easily!
It’s hard when running round after a baby and also with the lack of sleep I just want to eat rubbish! 🤣 And being in my late 30s rather than a 20-something mum probably doesn’t help!

Hang in there and give yourself some grace! Everyone loses weight at different rates based on so many factors. :-) I thought I’d reply just to share my experience but not sure if it will be helpful or not…

Although I’ve lost all my baby weight at 5 month PP, it’s not necessarily been a good think IMO - illness mostly helped me shed the last half a stone that was sticking around. Before that, I was just trying my hardest to eat a balanced diet, drink lots of water, and go on long walks with baby. My husband would take care of baby while I squeezed in a few half hour runs every few days or so. I also found that the days I had other mummy meet ups I was less likely to snack between meals. Although sometimes I’d get home and then start ransacking the treat cupboard before dinner still!!!

Just to add, although my weight is back to pre pregnancy, my body still looks very different. My stomach has a little pouch and the skin is squishy. I had a vaginal delivery but a laparoscopy shortly before getting pregnant and the incision that was made at the top of my pubic bone still has a little overhang that I’ve come to accept. Our bodies are just part of our story and life is short. You’ve got this! :D

If you are formula feeding you could try fasting for a bit. Not recommended if you are breastfeeding though

What have you tried so far OP? Perhaps then people can help you tweak it.
Are you breastfeeding at the moment?
And are you working full time or could you potentially spend more time exercising with buggy in tow?

I’m a year PP and still have some weight to lose also. Trying my best but come to realise it’s just going to take longer now I have two kids to look after. Plus I want to make the weight loss sustainable. If I’ve lost the weight by this time next year I’ll be happy. I have made some headway since April though - pp belly toning exercises on YouTube, yoga classes when I get the chance, and walking a lot while the weather is nice. Snacks I just keep to one high protein snack in between low ish carb meals.
