Rash, a month after giving birth?

I gave birth a month ago and I've got an itchy rash come up in a patch on my leg and thigh, it's like largeish raised bumps and itchy. I've googled it and it looks like hives. I've never had hives before and I don't know what's caused it. Could this be a postnatal thing? And any other suggestions of what it could be, other than hives? Thank you

I've not heard of postnatal hives. Have you changed anything recently like your washing powder or fabric conditioner?

@SiouxsieSiouxStiletto Thank you for your response. No, I haven't changed anything recently and I've never had an allergy to anything previously either. I ended up going to the doctor's with it as it was getting worse and they gave me antihistamine and said it was probably an allergy but I've spoken to a few people since and they've had hives due to changes in temperature, so I'm wondering if it's that maybe with the changing weather and hormones.
