My section scar got infected so I was put on antibiotics a week ago. Wound was swabbed on Friday and I'm waiting for results. Saw nurse on Fri who said she doesn't think it's infected anymore - just sore. But it's been noted that it opening up a bit. I'm freaking out as I darent do anything. Can't do school run and scared to carry my huge (almost 14lb) 6 week old around! Could the wound fully open?
Thanks

Yes I'd say so you need it swabbing and antibiotics asap

Again I mean if results didn't come back as a concern before, things can change quickly

I'm on antibiotics and it got swabbed on Friday (to check I'm on the right ones)

It’s not the best pic but it doesn’t look particularly infected. If it was swabbed on Friday it should be ready today. Can you see results on your gp records? Might be worth a call before the gp closes to check if you worried.

Is it wet? That would induction infection
Are you manage to keep it dry, wound needs to be dry to properly heel.
I used a hair dryer to keep dry after a shower.
