My baby is 11 weeks old. I have been exclusively breastfeeding since birth. I had the usual postpartum bleeding for 6 weeks as expected then 3 weeks later had a heavy bleed for just over a week (which I put down to a period). It’s now 2 weeks on and I am having very light brown spotting which I am noticing on the toilet paper after wiping. Before birth I had regular periods every 28 days. I am due a smear test in 2 weeks but am worrying it could be something more sinister. Has anyone experienced this whilst breastfeeding?? Could it be related to post pregnancy hormones or should I be worrying?? Thanks!
