So I’m coming up to 7 weeks postpartum now but a bit of a backstory…
when I was around 35 weeks I started having some strange symptoms like ringing in my ears and hearing loss for a couple seconds. Then it progressed to seeing bright lights in vision. I went to be checked told it was nothing until around 37 weeks I started swelling up really bad on ankles, feet, legs and abdomen along with my eyes swelling up and going down and blood pressure high and then going down, so again went to be seen and my OB decided to do a c section next morning for “symptomatic PIH” he said my abdomen resembled an orange peal.
The delivery went great! Minimal blood loss and heart stable the whole time (went into SVT with my first sons c section for no known reason) but fast forward to about 2 weeks postpartum I started noticing some chest pain and breathless feeling so I went to A&E and they did ECG, Troponin and D Dimer… all clear so sent home.
Now fast forward to 5 weeks postpartum and I started feeling how I felt when my blood pressure got high. I started feeling my eyes swelling up and going down and sometimes this is one eye or the other and ringing in ear but now some new symptoms appearing like dizziness, slight blurred vision, tingling in head, weird involuntary movements in head, arms, legs etc, brain fog, tight throat like it’s closing up. This all started after a weird episode I had one evening where I had left sided migraine hit suddenly then went extremely dizzy followed by nausea, head tingles, blurry vision and then the inability to speak what I needed to say like stuttering words and forgetting the whole story when I was trying to explain to 111 what was happening. I went to A&E where my blood pressure was 160/108 they sent me home with “just a migraine” I’m now dealing with horrible symptoms everyday absolutely terrified I had a stroke or something? They told me it wasn’t possible for it to be postpartum preeclampsia because I was basically 6 weeks postpartum at this point. If anyone has had anything similar any advice would be great! because doctors won’t do anything and neither will A&E and I’m way past the point of being aloud to go to maternity triage.
