Hello mums,
just wondering if anyone else’s periods changed after they had a baby? My periods are SO much heavier and my pms is out of control. I’m way more emotional.
Is this normal?

Mine are super heavy now too. Apparently it’s common

I didn't notice a change after my first baby but after my second they were extremely heavy and painful. I wasn't able to leave the house on the first day due to how heavy they were. After my third they changed again, they are still heavier than pre children but not as bad but now they come with a two day migraine every month and I inevitably end up vomiting due to it

I'm the opposite, period now 2 days and mild cramps. But terrible PMS.

Mine changed to really heavy but pain free.

it seems there is a hugely different range of experiences!

Really heavy, so much so I've gone back to using maternity pads but still had to change every hour yesterday 🙈 I also seem to get constipation and a stabbing pain on my left side which I'm keeping an eye on.

I’m nearly 16 weeks PP and on my third period. First one was really light then the second one and this one are more like they previously were. I’ve also experienced some discomfort on the right hand side of my c-section scar just before they’ve started. Not sure if this is common or something I should bring up? It’s not painful more uncomfortable

Would you mind me asking how old you are? We are thinking about ttc #2 and as I'm almost 42 I'm wondering if my shorter (regular) cycles are peri meno or just a thing that happens after a pregnancy.

I'm 35 and currently pregnant with baby number 2

Very normal for me- much heavier (and a few days shorter) than before kids. Thankfully my older sister had warned me as the same happened to her so it didn't worry me, although it is annoying.
