Post Partum Period - Painful

I’ve having my first post partum period at 3/4 months postpartum and my god it is unlike any pain.

I’ve had 2 kids, first I had an epidural during a 30 hour labour, breastfed then had my first period 6 months postpartum got pregnant again and the second was a natural 4 hour labour with no pain relief.

when I was 17 I had knee surgery.

These are the 3 times physical pain has brought me to tears in the last 6 years. Until today.

Period pain has always been minimal until this one. Has anyone else experienced worse periods after childbirth?
is this likely to be a monthly thing or just because it’s my first period since giving birth

Arhh so sorry you are in pain, I have endometriosis, so get awful pains monthly, likelihood is this is a one off after babies but do keep an eye on it.

I was only coming on to say, heat.. get hot water bottle on if you are heading to bed, otherwise a hot bath helps, in essence the body struggles to define heat and pain so the heat dulls the pain.

Take the drugs you have to hand and don't forget you can take paracetamol with ibuprofen, but of course read up on that.

And keep an eye on bleeding, blood colour, and heavyness of bleeding.

Take care hope it's over soon
