LO is now 1 year and I’m struggling with my hair regrowth, I used to have such nice hair and now all this regrowth is frizzy and wiry and sticks up all over the place. Hagrid vibes. So much has gone grey too

any tips to tame the beast?

I had this. A bit of hairspray on your comb or brush helps.

Clips

Blow dry it into the rest of your hair.

Or go short to let it all catch up.

Warm olive oil you can use regular olive oil or buy the oil treatments

Hair mask once a week

Hair vitamins

Massage your scalp

Make sure your not washing your hair in water that is too hot

Don't use heat products

Don't tie it up for a bit

Silk pillow case

Sleep with a hair wrap

Heat defence on every time

Leave in conditioner just don't put it on the roots

Wash your hair twice with shampoo and conditioner from the neck down or if your hair is shorter just don't put it on the roots

Anti frizz serum

Have a look online about anti frizz brushes

If you need to use heat dry your hair with a hot brush like the babbyliss hot brush

Try to not wash your hair every day

Healthy diet

No alcohol

Don't brush your hair when wet if you can

Don't towel dry your hair

Use a decent shampoo and conditioner- KMS is expensive but good.

Avoid silicone products if possible

Same, dd is 1 this week. She's rocking a curly mullet - I'd swap, right now I have an inch long frizzy halo plus shoulder length dead straight hair. I've tried frizz ease and hair oil but it's so fine than it just looks greasy.

Will try the hairspray tip!

Jeez quietnightmare that's a lifestyle commitment! If that's what it takes I'll stick with the frizz!

I was thinking this 😁

I don’t think there’s much you can do personally, I have the same. It’s all the newly regrown hair that’s so short it just goes frizzy. I just thank the lord it’s growing back.

Omg exactly the same for me with the fuzzy regrowth and mine just turned 1 a couple of weeks ago! Wishi could help but nothing is working😢i tend to look after my hair (no silicones, heat protector, silk pillowcases, masks etc) anyway but it just doesn't seem to affect the frizzy halo. The damp weather is not helping either.

Orangepen13 · 11/11/2022 11:32

I might try some of those tips @quietnightmare, thanks! My hair also gets greasy quick, so I do wash the roots every other day, and not sure I can give that up. But maybe sleeping in a hair wrap, hair masks and some different ways of drying.

Thanks for the solidarity all - why does no one tell you about this?! All at the same time that it becomes nearly impossible to use straighteners or tongs with littles running around 🙃

Have you tried any dry shampoo that really helps with greasy/oily hair
