Pain in lower right side even after DD is 14 months old

Hi Mumsnetters

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea of what this pain is. I am yet to call the GP about it but will do it as soon as I can this week.

My DD is 14 months old. After about 3 months PP I sometimes get sharp pains on my lower right side just above the vagina but on the right side. It comes and goes and doesn't last more than a day. It has been abit of a concern when it's there and once it goes it's all good.

I've had that same pain today since morning and it's more sharper than it usually is. I've still managed to go for a swim and steam, cooked, cleaned and looked after DD as it's my day off work.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and have insight on how to manage it?

Not experienced it no but do agree that it's worth speaking to the GP.

Worth asking for an ultrasound to rule out ovarian cysts.

@PritiPatelsMaker @MammaWeasel thank you for your responses. I didn't even think of ovarian cysts but good call! I've got an early start and at Westminster till 6pm tomorrow! Just hoping this pain subsides. Thank you x
