I had my first baby 10 months ago. He was a vaginal delivery, assisted via venthouse and an episotomy was required.
I didn't heal well and was in a lot of pain and was told I had excessive scar tissue and tight stitching. After various other suggestions I have now been offered the fentons procedure to remove the additional scarring.
However I am hoping to start trying to conceive a second baby at some stage and so just looking for advice from other people's experiences with the fentons procedure and 2nd babies. Did you have the fentons and still go on to have another baby vaginally sucessfully? or did you opt for a c section?
My consultant is advising that if I have the procedure now I should opt for a c section for a subsequent child. If I want to try for another vaginal delivery (although never guarenteed due to other things that may arise I know) he reccomends I wait until after a second baby to have the fentons but this may obviously mean spending a lot longer with the pain and painful TTC process.
