Horrendous night sweats 3 weeks postpartum

I am 3 weeks postpartum and have been suffering horrendously with night sweats. I remember having it with my 1st but not this bad (and this was in a very hot august )

I am waking up absolutely drenched every night and then I am absolutely freezing from the sweats. All the bedding is absolutely soaking as well.

I am not breastfeeding , although m breasg still leak occasionally

Is this normal ? I'm assuming it's just hormones but it definitely didn't last this long last time .

Is there anything I can do to ease it?

Thank you

Hi
i had night sweats really bad with both my children, but might be worth you getting checked for an infection with you saying you feel freezing after too?
with my first baby my episiotomy wound got infected and i felt hot and cold and needed antibiotics.

I had this and it was because my hormones were out of whack. Definitely talk to your GP @Strawberry1934

I was given some suppositories and they helped really quickly.

I had this too. I also remember feeling freezing after one of my children. I developed an under active thyroid not long after, so worth having that checked out.

I had this & had a thyroid issue.

I had this to around that time! Didn't last long though so hoping the same for you. If you feel unwell with it, deffo get checked by GP or midwife :)
