Excessive and Smelly Gas 11 weeks PP

Hi everyone,
I am 11 weeks postpartum, and as the title suggests I have been experiencing terrible flatulence which smells really bad. It starts the minute I wake in morning and continues throughout the day. I have some good periods in the day but mainly its happening throughout the day. I farted 50 times the other day before losing count. I had altered my diet as I am breastfeeding and baby seemed to have an allergy , cutting out dairy and gluten. I farted throughout the duration of that dietary change. However, I have since gone back to my normal diet but the farting continues. My diet is healthy enough, and I do get exercise and drink water. I'm not getting as much exercise as I had been while pregnant, but am not sedentary either.
I started taking probiotics a few days ago. No improvement yet.
I had an assisted delivery with forceps and kiwi.
It is the quantity and the smell of the gas that is concerning me though. I have no issues with holding it in.
Has anybody else experienced this and does anybody know what on Earth could be causing it?
Thank you
