6 weeks postpartum - perineum started hurting again and bright red blood

Hi there
Hoping to see if this is normal or I'm pushing myself a bit
I'm 6 weeks pp after a second degree tear. Over the last week for reasons I won't go into I've found myself in a position where I'm moving house so a lot of packing and moving around has been happening.
I noticed my down there started to hurt again a few days ago and just assumed that I was pushing myself. Not debilitating but sure enough to notice. Started taking it a bit easier and back on some painkillers to help reduce the inflammation.

This morning as I was going to bathroom I noticed when I wiped that there was bright red, pink blood.

Is this normal if I've been pushing myself?
I'm at the gp tomorrow but wanted to ease my mind beforehand

Thanks!

I have never packed 6w postpartum before but I wouldn’t say that’s normal! Sorry OP.

Could it just be your period? After each of my births when my period returned at around 8 weeks post partum it was always with a deep achey feeling down below.

@Sh05 possibly actually. The lochia was very very light but it was slightly increasing over the last day or so... The period pain this time isn't like normal but I guess that's part of the trauma down there.
My back has been a achey and I do get that pain similar to what I have now
Hope you don't mind me asking but would your period start a bit bright red and light enough?

That was my experience yes.
But please don't take my word for it though, if you're worried then mention it to your gp or health visitor.
I was so disappointed each time because even though I was exclusively breast feeding exactly 22 days after my post partum bleeding had stopped my period returned, the only difference being that I now also had the heavy ache down below.
Sitting on a hot water bottle helped.

Thank you. I'll be seeing my gp tomorrow so definitely mentioning it. Going to take it very easy until then

Sounds like your period. Happened to me this time around. I was very surprised because with previous children my period hadn't returned for many months and I was breastfeeding in exactly the same way! Annoying!
