What was your first period like post parfum?

Think I’ve finally started my period after 16 month postpartum (still breastfeeding).

Knew something was up as I had the most intense cramping of my life today.

Did your periods and cycles resume to how they were before? I’ve read about some women having a bleed and then nothing again for months. TTC baby no 2 x

I FF but mine happened three months PP. Before birth, my periods were horrendous. Id heavily bleed and cramp, my moods were awful, I was constantly tired. Now, I don't even need to take painkillers!

I think it really varies. I'm BF but mine came back after 4 months both times and sadly are waaaaay heavier than they were before I got pregnant. When they were back they did come back in a regular cycle though..

This is exactly the same for me.

Mine has just returned after baby 2 at 21 months, although still breastfeeding.
It was heavy, much more do than usual, but no period pains at all, just the odd bit of cramping.

After baby 1, it returned after 15 months, prompted by me stopping breastfeeding, but was mostly the same as before having babies.
