Feeling unwell 7 days postpartum , Rang triage. Will go in hospital in the morning (cardiac related). Am EBF, if I have to stay in the hospital will I be allowed to stay with the baby there (UK) or should I get formula for home incase baby isn't allowed in? WWYD??

Baby should be admitted with you and breastfeeding supported... in most trusts you'll be admitted to a postnatal ward. In the very unlikely event that they suggest you can't bring baby with you, push back as there are usually ways to accommodate this but not all staff are aware (or care). Same with medication - remind prescribers that you are breastfeeding and ask them to consider alternatives if necessary (and possible).

Sorry you're not feeling well, that must be very difficult with a newborn. Flowers
