Ever since I had my baby one year ago iv been having hot flushes, constantly overheating and just generally sweaty. I’m 30 years old and never had this problem before giving birth.

Iv obviously assumed its hormones and have been waiting for them to calm down post pregnancy but it’s been a bloody year now and I’m still looking like iv jogged 10 miles before iv even made it to work in the morning.

Help. Is this me forever more now ?

It has been for me I'm afraid, had DD at 34 and I've been like this ever since. I assume hormones and maybe a bit of extra weight in my case (although I did get back to my pre-pregnancy weight for a while and I don't remember it being any better) and am now heading into menopause territory (I'm 46 now) so it's only getting worse. Best advice I can give you is buy a neck fan (loads on Amazon) and get used to still being in a T-shirt when everyone else is wearing two jumpers Grin

I was like this until I managed to cut down the breastfeeding. So was almost a year (although my wee one still fed occasionally until 3)

Could ask GP for a thyroid test, just a thought. I've never been the same since ds1 (I'm 35, he's a toddler now) I run hot all the time, it's just my new normal, but run it by your gp to be on the safe side?

I've currently got an iced gel back in bed with me and a cool pillow thing from Argos.

Same here, I feel your pain. I had DS2 (at 39) last year and the sweats are unreal. Can't handle the sun anymore at all, gives me rage! Bring on the winter.

I was thinking about running it past go but wasn’t sure if it warranted it, I’m dreading winter as dp runs cold so it’s going to be a fight over the thermostat lol
