C section 16 days post scar ( Warning graphic )

Good evening,

I had a elected c section 16 days! My scar has been healing well up until last week. I’ve even swapped last week- the results came back to today no growth. However, my scar looks infected?!

Can anyone shed some guidance on what to do? I’ll be going back to triage tomorrow and asking for some antibiotics as I’m sure it’s infected unless it’s something else..

There is some redness but it doesn't look terrible to me. I would expect it to be opening up, oozing or extremely inflamed to be infected.
But having said that, if it doesn't feel right then someone certainly needs to examine you.

The sides look fine to me but the middle looks like it could be infected, definitely get it checked out

Coming from someone who had a life threatening infection in her c section... if your scar has joined together that's usually a sign of no infection, as your body wouldn't close it if an infection was present. My skin around it was hot and I had a temperature, they were my first signs xx
