Periods after pregnancy

Hi,

I came on what I thought to be my period 3 weeks ago and it's still going strong with no sign of stopping.

This is my first proper period/ bleed since I had my baby 1 year ago.

Has anyone experienced similar?

I have two babies and periods came back after a year and 17 months but nothing like this. Have you been to see your GP?

That wasn’t my experience either. Both times back after 10 months. Heavier and longer than before but 3 weeks is quite long. Prob best to get checked out.

Im hoping to get an appointment for next week.

Some women in the maternity group I joined have reported similar, I couldn't say how heavy but remember they said about long bleeds.
Probably not something to panic over but worth a chat with HV or GP. Hopefully MN will be able to help too.
