On Friday I found out I have some retained placenta in my womb after my c section a month ago. I've been given 2 lots of antibiotics as I'm high risk of infection. Yesterday I went in to have a pessary inserted, took 2 misoprostol there and took 4 tablets home to have 2 every 3 hours. By the evening I had diarrhea! But I've only had mild cramping.
I've been googling and it seems usually the tablet causes bad pain and heavy bleeding pretty quickly, but I've not had that yet so just wanted to hear of other people's experiences? If this doesn't work I'll have a day op to remove, but doc has said they want to avoid this for me because of where the product is and that I'm high risk of heamorrage.
Sorry, I am aware this medication is also sadly used for miscarriages so I hope this isn't a trigger for anyone.
