I'm 8 days pp so might be expected, but only on the very far left side of my wound i get a sharp pulling/sting pain, I can't lay on my left side at all it's too uncomfortable. I had prolene stitches with the beads at the ends, it was much worse on the left side it felt like the beads were digging into the wound, I had the stitches removed 3 days ago and felt immediately better but the pains coming back again. Anyone have similar? I keep reading it's nerve damage and people have it for months after, I hope not!

My scar felt sharp/twingey/achey on and off for about 6 weeks. Never notice it now (2 years pp and pregnant again). Probably just healing. Look out for it getting really painful/red/oozing as that could mean infection, but yeah I'd say it does feel odd for a while until it fully heals.

@cantthinkofaname2021 same here and currently 8 days, have you had any changes? It's worse when I try and get out of bed! Really painful!

Yes exactly that was the worst! I couldn't lay on that side at all, was terribly painful to try and get up out of a seat/bed. It seems to have improved the last few days

@cantthinkofaname2021 I'm just keeping on top on meds at the moment, ibuprofen and paracetamol, playing around with dosage to see what the minimum is I can get away with! We've had major surgery and I think it's too easy for us to think it'll heal quick.. I'm just frustrated it's taking so long!

Are you feeling better now? It went away for me finally a couple of days ago. Was awful before, when I laid on my left hand side it felt like my skin was ripping/electric shock, ouch! I'm now 18 days postpartum & only taking 1 ibuprofen a day if I need, hope you feel better xx

I have the same, and it's the side that the surgeon was stood at, so my midwife said often one side is worse and it's the side they tug and pull at to get everything closed up, so makes sense that it would be more sore on that side. I'm almost 2 weeks post se tion and it's easing off now a little.
Keep up with your painkillers to help.
