No period 4 months after birth?

Hi, I know it can vary a lot but I am almost 4 months postpartum and my periods haven't returned yet. I did combi feed (mainly formula) up until a couple of weeks ago and baby is now purely bottle fed. How long do you wait before seeking GP advice if they don't return when not breastfeeding?

I'm not medically trained but I'd leave it at least another 4 weeks before seeing the GP.

When I did return to fertility I had a couple of "ghost" periods first before the full AF returned.

I would leave it another month and speak to the dr if it hasn’t returned. I went 4 years after having my son with no period but was breastfeeding for 3 of those years. I spoke to the dr after 6 months who gave me blood test which showed my hormones were low. I had to have scans regularly every 3/4 months to make sure everything was ok . My period has just started to return now. But they do like to check everything is ok.
