Pelvic girdle pain still!

I had PGP in my second pregnancy. I still have it now at 15 months postpartum and I see a physio for it. At the start, my physio told me some women can have it until menopause 'unless they don't sort it out'. I don't think the exercises she sets me help and I've not felt it easing up. Has anyone else had it long term after pregnancy? How long did it last for you? Thanks

Did you by any chance have a small age gap between babies?

@Thisisjaaam yes, 21 months. I know it is a trigger! I'm wondering how long I'm going to have it Hmm

I haven’t had it myself but my step mum had her babies close together and developed pelvic pain soon after. Her kids are in their thirties now and she’s to have several operations in her late 50s to try and adjust some of the bones to relieve it

Sorry I don’t have happier experience to relay!

Try looking up Pelvic Congestion Syndrome and see if your symptoms fit. I had PGP in pregnancy that never went away really, and have just been diagnosed with PCS - it’s very under-diagnosed as not many health professionals know about it but it could be worth ruling out.

I had it for over a year after having my first baby. Not sure how long it was exactly but it was definitely a long time although after a while it only affected me on a long walk or something.
