Sex after birth

How long did you wait after birth before 'DTD'?

I'm ready to get down and dirty but I'm scared about the pain and anything being up there in general lol.

I'm almost 7 weeks pp and still have a feeling of 'openness' down there so I'm not sure if I should wait. Thoughts?

I was about 4 weeks pp when we DTD! Take things slow, lots of foreplay etc.

I was about 6 weeks, as above, take it slowly and lots of foreplay. Just bare in mind of you had stitches, the openness can be a redherring, I had to be stitched in 3 different places, and the first time was a bit like losing my virginity again.

Lol I was 8 months mainly because I was exhausted, fat and breastfeeding a lot until about 6m, then was enjoying sleep and time with no one touching me!

It’s totally personal. I waited about 2-3 weeks, but I felt ready, and absolutely wouldn’t have done if I didn’t. I agree that sticking to foreplay until you’re completely comfortable is the best way to get back into it.

4 weeks for me but it did hurt at first

It was about two and a half weeks for us. Felt different to start with but wasn't long before we got back into things. Wasn't painful. Did have to use lube in the first few weeks though, which is not at all usual for me.

I tried 4 weeks after a c section and it hurt so trued at 6 weeks and it was ok, we took it really slowly, kind of like losing virginity again. Then we had it again a few days after and it was loads better, still a bit tight but didn't really notice. Just got to get first one under your belt! Also should say I was labouring for a long time before the section so had a lot of bruising and swelling down there, but didn't actually push a baby out
