Hi
Posting here as i don't know if what im experiencing is normal or not Blush im 10 months postpartum and ive developed some internal lumps in my vagina since August. They remind me of skin tags only larger a google tells me it could be scar tissues from labour damage but they cause me pain which i dont think is normal i did go to the GP at first when they appeared as i thought pain+lumps= cancer and that terrified me but the male GP i saw pretty much laughed it off after examining me and said they look normal and not to waste his time 😭 he didnt even acknowledge the pain they give me or the massive hit on my self esteem and mental health from them and now the surgery has shut down totally from covid so i have no chance of seeing a female nurse about them or even getting my smear thats due Sad sorry for the rambling there but im at a loss what to do now. I hate how it looks down there and i dont think ill ever have a relationship or sex again

Do you have a female GP who you could talk to Grubbs? I don't think that you should just have to put up with the pain Thanks

How was your birth? Was it pretty straightforward or do you think that you experienced some birth trauma?

GrubbsGrady · 04/12/2020 22:42

No GP at all now till the surgery re opens they even got told by PHE not to close down a 2nd time and they have so much for the nhs running as normal Hmm my birth was fairly straightforward it was an induction followed by epidural and i had a 2nd degree tear with stitches that all healed over fine i cant even tell looking now that i tore but when i look further inside thats where these lumps are it was just one tiny lump in August now its 4 huge ones Sad im not sexually active so i can rule out that but i think its either cysts or hymenal tags. Next port of call is the health visitor she might be able to refer me to gynae at the hospital or something i did text her to say the surgery has shut down again a 2nd time and she was very angry they'd done that

So what is happening if someone needs a Drs appointment?

If it’s bad go to an after hours clinic or a&e, you should not be experiencing pain. Dont let them bully you.

I had a similar thing years ago and went to A&E, I’d had a minor op about a month previously and it turned out some of the stitches I had hadn’t dissolved, once they were removed the pain went away.

If your GP is closed what have they suggested that you do? Are you supposed to call 111?

GrubbsGrady · 05/12/2020 00:49

They haven't suggested what we do they don't seem to care at all its an awful surgery Sad i can't go to A&E there's no one to have DS due to covid and i wouldn't want him exposed to the virus in the hospital ill see what the Health Visitor suggests Monday it doesn't sound like anyone else has had these lumps postpartum though which worries me more Sad
